Day 01 Arrival Trivandrum/Meeting/assistance at airport Transfer airport/City Hotel. Afternoon: sightseeing tour of Trivaendrum city with guide. Trivandrum, the capital of the state of kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. The city gets its name from the world, Thiruvananthpuram, meaning the city of Anantha or the abode of the sacred Serpent Anantha on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity reclines. The famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is a landmark in the city. Art Gallery & Natural History Museum, Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery etc. Day 02 Transfer Trivandrum/Thottppally (140 kms/three hours by coach). Alleppey (25 kms/three hours by exclusive motor boat) Cochin. Lunch at Allepey Prince Hotel. Allepey, is the important tourist centre in the state. The large network of canals provide Allepey its lifeline. It has a long Sandy beach. The beach here is spectacular. At one end are the dense palm groves that are so characteristic of Kerala's landscape. This busy city a centre for coir and and carpet industries, is an ideal headquarters for backwaters touring as well as for visits to the lovely church filled town of Kottayam, and the town of Aranmula, where many onam water activities take place. Alleppey/Cochin (65 kilometres/two hours by coach). Check in and overnight at hotel. Day 03 Sight seeing of Cochin. 0830 hrs - City tour of Cochin by coach. Cochin, famed for its natural harbour, one of the finest in the world, Cochin has earned the sobriquet "Queen of the Arabian Sea".
Cochin is one of India's most interesting cities. Here you can see the oldest church in India. The Mattancherry palace, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing Nets etc. 1300 hrs - Back to hotel (lunch at hotel) 1700 hrs - Leave for Kathakali dance or Kalaripayattu. 2000 hrs - back to hotel and Dinner/ overnight stay at hotel. Day 04 Cochin/Coimbatore (154 kms). 0830 hrs - Boat cruise at cochin. 1230 hrs - Lunch at Restaurant. 1330 hrs - Transfer Cochin/Coimbatore - Check in at Heritage Inn - 1930 hrs - Dinner at hotel and overnight at hotel. Day 05 Coimbatore/Mettupalayam/Coonoor. 0500 hrs - transfer coimbatore/Mettupalayam (38 kms/one hr by coach) 0700 hrs - Leave Mettupalayam/Coonoor by toy train. 1230 hrs - Arrival Coonoor Railway Station/Meeting/Assistance at Railway Station same coach will transfer to hotel Taj Garden Retreat. Lunch/Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 06 Sightseeing tour of Coonoor/Ooty. 0900 hrs - Sightseeing tour of Coonoor/Ooty/Coonoor eighteen kilometers south of Ooty lies Coonoor, the beautiful plantation town set against the back drop of the Nilgiris. Ooty is the most popular hill station in the south India. This beautiful hill station is located in the Nilgiri hills at 2298 mtr above sea level. Visiting botanical garden (2kms) it is about 200 meters from charing cross where the coimbatore-Ooty road and Mysore - Ooty road meet each other. The garden is one of the loveliest not only in India but the best among the public garden through out the east. There are more than 2000 species representing 117 natural odours which are of immense value to Botany buffs. Visit of Toda Village, Todas are the men and women of the soil.The average black hair. They are dignified with well marked facial features. They live in villages of four or five huts (muds) near Ooty and Segur. The huts are dome-shaped. The entrance Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 07 Coonoor/Bandipur. 0800 hrs - Transfer Coonoor/Bandipur (100 kms/four hours by coach). 1200 hrs - Arrival Bandipur and check in at hotel. 1300 hrs - Lunch at hotel. 1400 hrs - Elephant saffari (if possible, we have to obtain permission for forest wardens). Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 08 Bandipur/Mysore. 0900 hrs - Transfer Bandipur/Mysore (90 kms/three hours by coach). 1200 hrs - Arrival at Mysore - check in at hotel. 1330 hrs - Lunch at Restaurant. 1430 hrs - Visit of Mysore city palace with guide. 1645 hrs - Visit vegetable and flower markets. 1800 hrs - Back to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 09 Sightseeing of Mysore. 0730 hrs - Breakfast at Restaurant. 0830 hrs - Leave for sightseeing of Mysore. Visit Somnathpur/Srirangapatnem/Lunch at Ambili Holiday Resorts - a riverside Restaurant/Chamundi hill and back to hotel/fullday with guide. Day 10 Mysore/Bangalore/Cochin/Kumarakom. 0600 hrs - Transfer Mysore/Bangalore Airport (130 kms/three hours by coach) Arrival Bangalore Airport/Meeting/Assistance at Airport. 0900 hrs - Check in for Cochin by Indian Airlines flight. 1010 hrs - Departure Bangalore for Cochin by Air. 1220 hrs - Arrival Cochin/Kumarakom - Check in at Logoon (90 kms/two hours by coach) Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 11 In Kumarakom. Free at Kumarakom/Bird watching/private activities. Day 12 Kumarakom/Varkala Beach or Kovalam Beach. 0700 hrs - Breakfast at hotel. 0830 hrs - Transfer Coconut Lagoon/Thaneeramukham by Boat. 0900 hrs - Arrival Thaneermukham Meeting/Assistance and proceed to Varkala (by coach) - Check in at Hotel Taj Garden Retreat. Alternative Kovalam Beach. (We suggest Taj Garden Retreat, at Varkala). Day 13 & 14 Stay at Varkala or Kovalam. Day 15 Departure Trivandrum.
Transfer Varkala/Trivandrum Airport (50 kms/two hours by coach).
