PANGONG LAKE
Situated at an altitude of 4350 Meters. , Pangong Lake lies in the north east of Leh . This famous blue blackish Lake of Pangong is 5 / 6 Km. wide and over 144 Km. long with half of it running the other side of the " INDO CHINA BORDER " . The mountains around the Lake are of various shapes and colors .
The Lake with its color , an exquisite scintillating shade of
blue , the orange and carmine tints of the sunset turn it into a
wondering work of nature . The villages , shepherd lands and the
landscape en-route to this are are very interesting . This place
may be approached by across the Changla pass ( 5486 Meters. ) .

| DAY 1 : LEH DURBUK ( 126 KM. ) |
| Leave Leh after breakfast drive through Kharu , Chemrey , Tagar Sakti to Changla pass 5486 Meters. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Meters. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass . After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak , the summer pasture land of the Yaks . Arrive Durbuk in the late afternoon . Dinner & overnight in Tents in Durbuk . |
| DAY 2 : DURBUK - TANGTSE - PANGON ( 30 KM. ) |
| Leave in the morning visit the Monastery of Skyoba Jigsten Gonbo named after the fonder of Drikung Ningma sect of Tibetan Buddhist at Tangtse . From there a drive of 1/2 an hour takes you to Lukung at the western shore of the Lake and drive along the Pangong Lake up-to Spangnik ( 8 Km. ) the last point allowed for Tourists . The view of the Lake and scenery is unforgettable . Packed lunch will be served from the camp in the evening return to the camp . Dinner & overnight in Tents at Pangong . |

| Morning enjoy the sunrise in the backdrop of the Lake . One rarely feels so close to nature and environment. Drive back to Leh with Lunch en-route . |
